Zeuke-TT, what's new?

Hi TT-fans,

It is already some time ago that I announced the 3-bay offset hopper from MTB. Still it is unclear when this hopper will be on the market. That is why I will take TiTan's 2-bay offset hopper kit and with a professional model builder I will turn this kit in a RTR hopper. This car will not be cheap and should cost around the 65€ incl. VAT in Europe. The first production batch will be the B&O livery with 5 car numbers / build dates and will have other small differences, in total there will be 250 pcs and some of them will be undecorated. If 60 a 70% of this serie is sold the next 250 pcs serie will be planned with the Reading and the Erie liveries.

Pictures of the first prototype can be seen below. Understand that this is the first pad printed car, the quality of the print will be better. This car should be around the end of 2016 on the market.

Kind regards,
Rob Dikken

Re: Zeuke-TT - Announcing: RTR AAR 2-bay Hopper

As Rob Dikken at Zeuke TT has just announced, RTR versions of the B&O AAR Standard 2-bay Offset-side Hopper are expected to become available in late 4Q 2016.

This is the quintessential Global TT-scale project: The Zeuke RTR hoppers from the Netherlands will be assembled and decorated in Germany by Fischer-Modell based on car components injection-molded by TiTan TT in Australia, from molds fabricated in China. Artwork design for the RTR cars is by TT-West in California.

The initial Zeuke RTR production plans to offer 5 different car numbers for the as-built B&O AAR Standard 2-bay hopper, with flat ends. The initial livery is B&O 'Capitol Dome - 13 States', car classes N-35 and N-41.

For additional reference information and photos, see the Railroad Prototype Prototype Cyclopedia (RPCyc); Volumes 1,2,4,8, and 9.

Richard, what will the US price be? Also will there be a discount for buying all 5?

All things in good time...
There are multiple initiatives from multiple sources:
Zeuke announced a limited-production RTR version of the AAR hopper...
and TT-West will offer these cars to the North American market.

TiTan TT intends to announce the availability of the kit version... (soon)
and again, TT-West plans to offer these kits in the North American market.
The kits will also be made available by others for Europe and the Pacific Rim.

TT-West will offer decals/artwork for both the AAR Standard and AAR Alternate cars...
and these announcements will be coordinated with the kit and undec RTR car availability.

There is still a lot of behind the scenes work being done to get everything finished and into distribution.
Until more of this is concluded... North American pricing and availability will not be announced.

That said... this -is- intended as a 2016 announcement...

Hi guys,

It's a long time ago that I was active on this board, but I am still around. Like everyone I had some challenges with my planning. Here a review what I have on stock and of course what will be planned.

On stock:
- SW1200's Conrail and SOO, the rest is sold
- flex track and other track pieces from Kuehn
- enough tank cars and one TruSweet example
- some GC boxcars
- of course the US warehouse kit

I hope to add some Lok-n-Roll grain hoppers to the list.

Planned:
- 2-bay B&O hopper as mentioned somewhere above, I hope to get the first batch in April
- 3-bay hopper or the 60 ft high cube boxcar
- NMRA #6 switch from Kuehn will be available in the 3rd quarter of 2017

I hope to get the 3-bay hopper prototype from MTB one of these days. I will present it here. See the not so good picture of it.

There is one thing important. If 250 pcs of the 2-bay hoppers are available, I have to sell 80% of them, than I will make the decision how to go forward. In principle I would order another 250 pcs of the 2-bay hopper in Reading and Erie liveries. If I sell again 80% of this batch, I would go to the next project. In principle the 3-bay hopper or the 60ft boxcar. But it is also possibe to do instead of the 2nd batch of the 2-bay hopper, the 3-bay one depending on your reaction.

Regards,
Rob

To be exact:
- 5x Conrail 9539
- 5x Conrail 8604
- 3x SOO 322
- CN 7007, a return which I have to test
- PRR 8539 shell
- 2x undecorated shells

MTB is always willing to make another batch, but the minimum quantity is 50 pcs. I think it is time for something else.

Rob
