The 1946 Hudson was an unremarkable pre-war carryover, and in those years most makes were hard to tell apart. Why not the very distinctive 1950-51 Hudson Hornet sedans?
And I presume the 1952 Ford delivery will be a variation from the already available regular sedan, right?
Also, the 1950-51 Chevrolet were very pretty and common cars.
And the Studebakers of that period were interesting and common, especially the Loewy-designed coupe with the windows all around the back.
Early 1950's pickup trucks would be nice, too.
I understand the attraction to unusual and distinctive cars, which is more emotional than rational, but the typical and well-known will better help set the scene on a model railroad.

Agreed with you, Gerhard; as for me, I'd like to get 1951-54 Hudson Hornet too.
But there are some reasons of manufacturing kind; so it is relatively easy to make 1946 Hudson, but not 1951 Hudson, and so on.

In fact, 1946 Hudson had a concave center section of grille, in contrast to pre-war Hudsons.
It looks very nice and expressive, very noticeable distinguishing feature, as it seems to me...

a highway trailer with a 40' PS1 boxcar as payload? or any boxcar that isn't a 1937 AAR or a Fowler, really!

USRA single-sheathed boxcar is available.
But I was talking about automobiles...

I would go with the Ford truck as my first choice, then the Ford sedan and Ford delivery sedan/ambulance, followed by the Edsel (my next door neighbor has a BEAUTIFUL 1958 Edsel, so I get to see one everyday), and the Nash.

I can always use come Chevys for a junkyard scene though...

Are you talking about 1940 Ford pickup? It will be not "truck", it is car-based half-ton pickup.

But if you need just a truck, you can use "N scale" 1941 Ford truck made by Fine N Scale. It is too big for N in fact and can work for TT.

BTW, do you remember that 1952 Ford sedan (not sedan delivery yet) is already available from RailTT?

As concerns Chevys for a junkyard scene - try to use 1947 Chevrolet from Mini-Things. Don't care about casting and painting quality, but use more "rust" from Tamiya or so!
