Where to find train posters?

Where to find train posters?

Postby ConducTTor » Mon Jul 20, 2009 11:42 am

I've looked around the web for posters of trains but everything is pretty much paintings of older locos or look like they were originally ads. Any idea if and where I can find posters of modern locomotives? Prototype country of origin is not really important.

There are some really good poster places on eBay, I have a few in my house. I will have to look to see who the seller was.
I take it that you are trying to have a "train house" as well?

"Train house" is a bit in the future for me. But, "train room" is definitely NOW

The guy I got a lot of train posters from on eBay is east_hamlet_jct.

It is hard to miss my house in base housing, with the RR crossbucks, train wind spinner, and G scale oval make it easy to find.

I have trains everywhere. The back wall to my living room is 22' long, with 8 shelves full of old and new O scale trains.

Are there any particular posters that you are looking for?

When we were at the Horseshoe curve, the gift shop was selling fairly large black and white posters of the Pennsy K-4 Pacific for $5. I am not sure if they sell those online.

We have been able to find frames that fit those at walmart, albeit we have to fold in the top 1/2" of the poster and about 1/2" of the sides as well.

What kind? Hmmm, I guess I'd like something that looks like a high res photograph. Think about what a posters with a car looks like. Like that but with locos.
