What is your favourite Railroad Related Movie?

Postby AstroGoat760 » Sat May 22, 2010 10:12 pm

I recently purchased a copy of Trains magazine's special issue of the 100 best train movies, at least according to the author.

I am curious as to if what rail related movies everyone here thinks are the best.

I would have to say that my favs would include Buster Keaton in the Railrodder and the General; as well as the Great Locomotive Chase.

Riding the Rails, a musical documentary by Johnny Cash is my pick.

"The Railroader" - A short film, starring Buster Keaton, released by the National Film Board of Canada in 1965.

It looks like we are starting to get a consensus that Buster Keaton's railroad flicks are a group favourite...

I would love to get a replica of the speeder that Buster Keaton rode in the Railrodder.

Here is a link to watch the Railrodder. It is almost 25 minutes long, but worth watching over and over again....
