Wanted Tillig boxes

Postby ConducTTor » Mon Jul 12, 2010 9:23 pm

I'm looking for some Tillig boxes. Specifically for passenger wagons and locos. Got some you don't need?

Are they the boxes or the styrofoam (or both)? What are the sizes? I have a few passenger wagons that have the styrofoam but need boxes and a couple of locos needing both styro and box.

there both. the boxes are six inches long. the styrofoam is cut out for small freight cars.

Unfortunately the 6 inch variety won't work for me - I need them for locos and passenger wagons. Thanks though!

Perhaps, would building boxes be a viable solution?

Another thought: are you looking for other Tillig boxes, as well as for locos and wagons? We have a few decent sized Tillig boxes that track and such came in, if you want them, we will ship them out to you once we get unpacked in North Dakota.

Just for locos and wagons. I suppose I COULD put together some boxes but with the 1000 + 1 other TT projects going right now, the last thing I care about is making boxes.

Here is another idea: have you seen any of those "carrying boxes" that are sometimes advertised in Model Railroader and other such magazines?

It would be possible to make such boxes, all one needs is the type/size box that one wants, glue, and foam. It could even be built with latches and handles for carrying cars to shows and such...
