I hope the extra waffle sides looks like this. That would be awesome.

Maybe there is misunderstanding. We will not offer extra sides (in fact, the sides, roof and ends will likely be a single piece). We will offer extra "pockets/waffles". Take a look at the two images I posted earlier for a better idea.

Ah okay, only the pocket near the door. Btw, at the B&O car at your picture is missing the first row of waffle under the roof.

Darn it I didn't notice that. There are endless variations of waffle patterns :wall:

I suppose you could do the version has the most waffles and then those who want to do one of the others could just sand them off.

We're doing the Southern version since the CAD is done for it. I believe it has the most waffles other than the two by the door which will be included in the kit.
The waffles themselves are very thin in 1:120 so it shouldn't take much to remove them.

But it will need quite a bit of training to get an even surface after removing waffles.

from bitter experience, that does not work with such wagons. the spacing will be off. you'd be better to make your own side as a master, and cast it.

At any rate the Southern, NS, CSX, DME, KCS, SIND and a few others are well represented by this car.
