It's coming

Post by ConducTTor »

The board's one year anniversary is slowly approaching (June 10th).

I want to celebrate by giving away something and I need your input.

#1. What is the prize? Don't give me anything of astronomic cost - I don't make money off this site. One winner, one prize.

#2. What should we do as a contest?

I almost forgot -

The prize MUST be TT related, must of US prototype and, must be made by a North American company (company is a broad definition - there are kits available from entities not necessarily classified as a company).

1.) How about a few truck sets from PVM and/or Gold Coast? Or just a kit from either one?

2.) Still working on ideas for that..... Perhaps a belching contest? Or how about a Ms. TTnut.com pageant? Destruction of Electronics Contest?

Restoration contest, perhaps?

Or how about a "trace paper" kit that someone could print off-line and create copies of the building at home? That could be of benefit for everyone, with getting ideas out there on how to scratchbuild structures, and to get more of us out there trying their hands at making their own structures.

Perhaps there could be a category of building for the contest.

Since I am now at risk of rambling on and on, I will clear the floor for other's ideas.

Haha, we should all get together and give you a prize for creating this site.

I know it's not US outline, but I'd happily donate something from my BTTB "for sale" listing as a prize. Perhaps most creative idea for what to do with a Nohab gets... a Nohab!

Cheers

How about a photo contest. Members can take a photo of anything TT related, a layout picture, diorama, train car conversion, cats... Its your idea and your prize, so you pick the top 5 and then post it for people to vote for the favorite.
