Will a sound decoder speaker fit in a Tillig BR 285

I'm looking to add sound to my Tillig BR285. It has a NEM 651 Plux12 socket. After research I found an ESU LokSound 55800 (for N & TT) decoder with sound article 56820 (micro) for the BR246 / 285s. Has anybody experience this combination and did the speaker fit.

Tillig has in it manual written: "The installation of a rectangular speaker is possible in the area of transformer replica". Where ever it is. You should open your model and search for some space.

Thanks, I don't know where you found that exploded view but I searched high and low on Tillig's web site for any kind installation instructions.

Normally are the spare parts list and the manual also in the box of the model.

Service centers have a full catalog of spare parts and manuals. Also, a list of spare parts for many models is available on the Tillig website. On the site Tillig choose German languages. Below is a photo example.

P.S. In the early models of the BR285, the speaker was mounted behind the driver’s cab.

I know this is an old thread, but in case this is not solved yet (or anyone is interested): The transformer is one of the heaviest parts in today's prototype design, so it's mounted in a low position. The lowest possible position is between the bogies. Following this, the transformer replica is the plastic part under the frame and between the bogies.

Since the 285 is a Diesel locomotive, which doesn't need the transformer, the tank is mounted between the bogies.
