hate to keep going on about gc boxcars but the fact that any north american tt comes in its own jewel case blows my mind. now if only they can produce a 50/53 foot boxcar. aint complaining though.

I thought that they wanted to make a reefer: R 40 - 10 steel ice refrigerator car

Yeah, the reefer's in their last catalogue, I'm looking forward to seeing it.

As for 50' boxcars, I'm looking forward to Art & Detail's PS-1s, hope they'll be ready soon.

cant complain about the state of tt considering in 2009 when i jioned this forum there was no two or three bay covered hoppers outside the very occasional one found on ebay. same can be said for tank cars and gondolas. thanks to conducter, you can now order those cars from shapeways,so are selection is growing. so my temporary yard is starting to look like a yard.

And the way things are going, the prospects of more loco models are looking realistic.

I have remarked on that myself a few times. When I first stumbled upon my first TT set in 2008, there was pretty much nothing out there for groups like TTnut.com. (Forums, gallery, and so on). I doubt that our (CATT and myself) fleet would be anywhere near as large as it is now, if it wasn't for ConducTTor and his efforts to show the world that TT scale is not just a niche, but a way of life.

Don't give me too much credit. Everything is done out of selfishness - I want friends who share my interest :)

so to add to my collection i took a stab at putting together one of the hp 50 foot boxcar kits that i got with cardboard sides. while ill admit my first attempt wasnt very good, had a lot of problems with the sides shifting from one side to another, and trying to cut out the cardboard sides wasnt all that easy, but gotta admit i kinda enjoyed it. as you can see from the picture this car will be used for background purposes. it didnt come with a roof.i can see that im gonna need to invest in proper tools.
