This is a lovely greeting from Australia and North America. The Qantas A380 VH-OQB has flown again after long-term storage of one year in California. Without passengers, it flew in 10h 51min from Los Angeles directly here to Dresden for a maintenance check. I was unfortunately not on site for the landing but found this video. What a great machine!

I've never been close up to an A380. I'd like to see how it looks like standing next to it. I guess it's like standing next to an apartment building lol.

That's a good comparison. I only got within a couple of hundred feet three years ago too. The top of the vertical stabilizer is 79 feet off the ground. The height of the fuselage itself is about 27½ feet. The main wheels are 55" in diameter.

Can you imagine one of these beasts in TT Scale?

It would be very dominant on a model railway layout. In TT approximate 24" x 26" x 8" (L x W x H).

Fortunately, there is no model in TT-scale. The closest scale is 1/100.

Here is a video of Duchess Natasha running a HP Products 4-6-2, even while taking a cat-nap on the throttle:

It is kinda funny at times, she will sit and meow at the power pack until we fire the trains up for her. She doesn't intentionally derail anything, she just sits there. We are convinced that this little one is the original Natasha in a different body, with how she chirps, meows, and loves trains of all types.
