It's that time of year again, St. Patrick's day is upon us again!

Who is going to go out, wear green, and get drunk this year?

I'll get drunk for sure. But, the way things have been going, I'll be working while doing it. I really need to quit my job....

You are not the only one. Wal-Mart is basically trying to force James to quit. On top of writing him up for refusing to lift more than his doctor allows, management has made a lot of fun of his tumors, and has even gone so far as to tell customers about it, in an attempt to discredit him.

So, how did everyone's St. Patrick's Day go?

I had my fill of green beer and Irish stew at the local VFW for $5 (four tall green beers and three bowls of stew).

Call me a philistine.

I have heart about Saint Patrick's Day, but I have no idea what it is.
What is celebrated on Saint Patrick's Day? And how is it usually celebrated?

Hi Philistine,

Saint Patrick
Saint Patrick was a Romano-British Christian missionary and bishop in Ireland. Known as the "Apostle of Ireland", he is the primary patron saint of the island along with Saints Brigid and Columba. Wikipedia
Born: 390 AD, Britannia
Died: 460 AD, County Down

He is Ireland's pied piper... He chased all the snakes out of Ireland.

In North America he is celebrated with parades and getting drunk on green beer.

In Ireland they don't make much of a fuss except to entertain the North American tourists.
