Are you casting the cars yourself Bill?
I'm wondering if you could put a couple pieces of piano wire or even brass channel in the mold then pour the resin? Elmer did that with his GP chassis, a piece of 1/16 inch piano wire along each side to stiffen it up and it worked well!

The Gandy Dancer catalogue is still up for sale, price is up to $150. I offered $25 and after he declined I asked the seller if he actually expects someone to pay that price and if he's willing to wait another two years.
