Re: Bigelov's projects
Hi Ian,
The question is, are you showing anything at the Albury show this year??
I am not planning on showing the module. I actually don't know the first thing about putting something in a model rail show! But I will be attending. I heard you were at the show last year (from Phil) but our paths did not cross...
If you are coming down we should catch up.

Re: Bigelov's projects
No, not displaying this year. We had waaaaayyyyy to much family stuff going on last year which we're finally put past us.
Haven't done anything to either layout since last time displayed. Serious lack of interest, but getting over that.
Working at shop Saturday morning and coming down Sat arvo. At this stage plan is to be at show Sunday, mid morning.

Re: Bigelov's projects
Hi Ian,
My interest and energy for doing the hobby also waxes and wanes. Hence months of quietness from me on the forum here :) But I do try to keep up with what is posted.
I progress on a project and get to a point where I am unsure how to proceed on some aspect (I am very much a builder!), so work grinds to a halt for a period. With this engine shed there were two things that stopped it.
One was the lighting. I had the LED's in place, but not sure about resistor values, and I wanted small resistors as well. I finally took the plunge and got a range of surface mount resistors, and a couple of months later worked a scheme to install them. 2k resistors for the lights on this one.
The second aspect was the grass and greenery. Still some work to go with that, I'm not that confident in doing it, but that just means I need to do more to see how it all works, and how to get the effects that I am after. Have a go on test pieces and repeat until happy! But it all takes time and modelling energy.
As for Albury show, I will going with my local mate Bruce, who is into 2mm scale (hence the connection with Phil), but also catching up with another friend from Narrandera on Saturday. I live in North Albury, less than a km from the venue, so no problem catching up sometime over the weekend. Will send you an email.
And Knight, if you ever get to Albury, you would be most welcome ;)

Are you going to paint the bricks (I can't decide if I like them better red or white)?
