How quiet is it?

Did they use more flexible wire for the truck power wires?

I do not have a DC power pack right now, so testing can't be done right now. This is the first Lok-N-Roll product I have been around, so I have no idea what to compare the wires against.

The wires in the GP conversion unit I purchased were so stiff that they caused the pickup contacts on the truck to move away from the back of the wheels when the truck turned.

The wires should be flexible enough that they do not interfere in any way with the pivoting of the trucks.

Where's the fuel tank, did you remove it to show the motor in the photo? How is the fuel tank mounted to the frame? Also, how do they attach the drive/chassis to the body shell? I have one of the power units that I plan to install in my Lionel shell, but there is no indication from just looking at the chassis on how to do these things.

you might need a little tape on the sides of the fuel tank to keep it from falling off. i see you put couplers on the boxcar. what kind are you using? your gonna like that loco. joe

The tank came off when I flipped the engine back upright for the photo session, so I decided to post a photo of the motor.

The refer car has a new set of Kadee #714s. I prefer to have the entire fleet fitted with Kadee #713s and #714s (preferably the #713s due to the more realistic rust coloring), aside from a few of the solid knuckles that fit the pilots of the HP small steamers that couple perfectly to the Kadees without requiring a massive modification to the pilot.

It is also worth mentioning that the Lok-N-Roll / Lionel F-3 is capable of running on 310mm curves, for those that were not aware.

I know that the loco has a paper label for the B&O, that is how it came to me from Lok-N-Roll.
