The first will happen at some point;
The second... Well; If the Mounties catch me smuggling in TT trains... It's all over!
I wouldn't worry about it.
The trains will be seized and you will be sent home.
Sometime later, we will buy the trains cheap at the police auction.<G>

Check.
Bill Dixon wrote:It needs five four foot tables. I have one. We either find/borrow four four-foot by two-foot tables, or we make them. One sheet of 4' x 8' plywood could be cut up to make four tables. Add some basic 2"x2" bracing underneath, and either basic legs, or cobble something up for them to sit on and we would be good to go.
I have the plywood, we only need legs. I can make a few as I have a sh!t ton of scrap lumber. What is the height of the table surface so i can match it?
The top of the table is 29" from the floor.

That's sooo comforting...
Katalin says I don't look good in an orange jumpsuit!

Kat really enjoyed her visit to Vancouver last November... which gives me a reasonable expectation of being able to come up next year for -some- event if the scheduling permits.

I also acquired a new Honda HRV which will nicely fit TT-Tracks sections in the back...
It was purchased 10 days before the shelter-in-place took hold here in Alameda County... one of the earlier in the US, and has essentially gone nowhere since. Oh well...

Operation "Layout in Garage" -- status report
I cleared about 50% of the spider webs. It's tolerable.
I improved lighting. We can close the door now and we are less dependent on weather.
Now, onto the plywood.

Yeah, it will need bracing, won't it? Half-inch plywood is as floppy as cooked lasagna. Back to Home Depot, I guess...

I realized yesterday that I underestimated the number of tables needed.
For the two new loop corners, the bigger one will sit nicely on a six foot and four foot table as diagrammed. The two four foot sections are strong enough.
The new corner needs more support as it is built of smaller pieces.
So I decided to build another four foot table.
Job one, find plywood.
Went to Home Despot on the way to work. Strike out.
Went to Loews after work. Found the pre cut plywood pieces buried behind two pallets of doors. Muscled one pallet out of the way to get at the 1/2" plywood. What crap! There was enough of a bow in each piece to use it as a boat.
The 1/4" birch plywood was behind the other pallet. Muscled it out of the way enough to get one sheet out. Much better quality and a bit cheaper that the 1/2".
Added some 2x2(nominal size) bracing. The result is solid and nice and light.

Now to make some legs

The table is finished.

Reasonably stable. Not suited for heavy loads but good enough to hold up a return loop. The legs are removable. May paint it blue. Need some dry weather to do that.
