BTW...
According to the 2020 Convention Website... the St. Louis Registration is currently $150
http://www.gateway2020.org

Anecdotally... I understand that the 2021 Santa Clara Convention is (will be) substantially LESS.
Notwithstanding the higher price of the Hotel rooms in Silicon Valley.

Salt Lake City was only $119 paid quite late. For the abbreviated amount of time I was at the convention (half Monday, all of Tuesday, half Wednesday, Thursday evening), I considered it reasonable.
$ 150 is too much for an abbreviated con experience. I would sneak into the Digitrax Users group meeting Thursday evening and save the $150.

Now 2021 I should be at most of the con so would pay the full fare.

I sent an e-mail or two off to various show organizers to ask what was going on with the layout registrations.

I received a call today from Monroe, the modular layout coorrodinator.
He indicated that he hoped our layout was coming but understood the distance issues.

He said there is lots of space and if anybody wants to display TT-Scale there, get your application in now.

Wish I could be there with the layout.

I literally just got off of the phone with Monroe Stewart, the NTS Layout Coordinator. He said that room was set aside for the Possum Central Railway, just that he had not gotten the official floorplan for the convention center as of yet to determine where we would be going.

He apologized for any confusion about the delay on the floorplan, and said that they look forward to us at St. Louis.

Heck yeah! This is indeed lining up to be the best year for the Possum Central yet!

Indeed, looking good for TT at the NTS.
What kind of space did you ask for?

I asked for 12' x 20' of layout space, not including setbacks.

It has been discussed of possibly going to 12' x 24', but the limiting factor will be the amount of track that I can procure in time for the construction of the "donut layout". I have about 35 sticks of Keuhn flextrack, and a half dozen WR/WL10 turnouts, but I will need more. The first module for the "donut layout" is under construction now, it is a 2' x 4' straightaway with one siding spur on it.

Just announced, the NMRA National in St Louis is Cancelled.
The committee was having a hard time organizing the event and one of the committee has Covid-19.
Not good news but understandable under the current circumstances.

So Santa Clara in 2021 . . . we hope.

Certainly not the wished-for outcome.
https://www.nmra.org/news/nmra-2020-con ... -cancelled

Here in the Pacific Coast Region, there was a delicate legal dance between the 2020 PCR Regional Convention committee and the host Hotel; i.e. Who blinks first? In our case... the Hotel had to cancel, so everyone got their money back.

In St. Louis... it looks like the Convention Committee pulled the plug, which will result in Hotel and other event cancellation fees. <sigh> At the end of the day, COVID or not; It's just business.

So... I certainly expect the 2021 National to proceed in Santa Clara. It looks like I may be involved (NOT chairing!) on the clinics side...

If things proceed to plan; I hope to help round-up another good showing for TT-scale
