Right now we are debating if we want to make a rectangular TT layout, or this odd-shaped modular layout:

The room that we have to spare for the modular layout is odd shaped, so we are considering trying to make the most of the available room until we can put together a decent outbuilding to setup the completed modular assembly.
Otherwise, we would be limited to a 9' x 9' layout square with a 5' x 5' "people tank".

Upon analysis of the feasibility of the S-shaped module, I realized that modifications are needed. Instead of a pair of 90 degree curves, they have been modified to a pair of 60 degree curves, with gentle curves of flex track in between. The ovals of track will be elevated above the S-curves, to allow the module to "stand alone" as needed until the rest of the modules are complete.

Upon discussion with the rest of our group here in North Dakota (CaTTwoman281, CaTTlady, TTerry177, DakoTTa, and myself), we have tweaked the track plans to make this modular layout, reducing the number of needed modules (and connections from 8 to 6).

We have done some rearranging of the house, and have opted to use a 9'6" x 12' 4" room for the new modular layout, which allows for the design of a 12' x 9' layout without the use of an "S" module.

We are still working on if we want to continue plans for Keuhn track, or to continue to use Tillig.

Cancelling plans based on the old room shape, as that is no longer applicable. Now working on a design for a 6' x 8' or a 6' x 6' layout in modules.

If you do not have enough space, consider also "showcase"-type, bookshelf layout
