Next show for Naples Street coming up...this Saturday in Letchworth, just an hour's drive. (For me that is, a bit longer for most of you...)

At the Letchworth show on Saturday I spent some time talking to Benjamin Scanlon. He's an Aussie who lives in London, and he was also at one of the previous shows I took the layout to. He's very knowledgeable about American TT and scratch-builds his own stuff.
Anyone on here know him? I'm not sure he's on the forum.

Another show for Naples Street yesterday, and again American TT was very well received. As usual I pointed people to this forum and my own website.
At the show I got three more invites, in addition the the remaining two this year.
On the downside, my Soo switcher has started stalling occasionally and it looks like a wiper problem in one of the trucks. Also the turnout switching mechanism (dowels and stiff wire under the baseboard) is proving less than 100% reliable with it not always engaging the microswitch so I'll have to revisit that before the next show in May.

I've recently updated my online description of Naples Street by adding some new photos and describing how I switch the layout when the inclination takes me. Hope you like it:

I may replace one or two buildings with improved versions complete with lights. Otherwise I think I've probably taken this layout as far as I can, so after the remaining three shows I'm booked on this year I may think about retiring it.

It's a lovely little layout. Very well done and looks fun to operate.

Well, I hope it's doing a little bit at least to popularise American TT. On the downside I've just been told, not unexpectedly, that the next show I was going to take it to, in May, has been cancelled. So no more till August at the earliest.
Meanwhile after two and a half years in storage I got out some of my HO stuff. It looks huge!
