I am positive that some CKD T435's and T669's ended up in Cuba, but I can't find the damn pictures.

Getting info: it may have changed now, but in the past it was just illegal to photograph railways. One guy who went down wanted to take a picture of an FA, but the guy in the yard told him no, it's not permitted. So then the visitor spots the 46 Ford (or similar) parked there, he asks the railwayman, "whose car is this? It's gorgeous!" Turns out it's the railwayman's car, he's proud of the compliment, so the visitor asks if he could take some photos of it, railwayman instantly agrees! So the visitor got several good pictures of the FA with only a 46 Ford slightly obscuring the view.

Please add this to the list:
CSD's T458s were sold to Cuba in 1990. Kitbash from Tillig's T435. Etch for T458 is probably available in Czech and Russia.
(Note: T435 = ЧМЭ2 1st series, T458 = ЧМЭ2 2nd - 5th series). The main difference is weigth and different cab.
Here is a picture of the Cuban engines ready for shipment from Czechoslovakia:

It seems to me that different versions of ЧМЭ2 (and T435 ?) had different trucks also. Early versions had "Pennsylvanian type" trucks. BTW they can be used to build SW1200, if I am not mistaken.
The locomotive on the photo have new trucks already.

Yes, 1st series had Pennsylvanian trucks, 2nd series had Pennsylvanian trucks on most engines and CKD trucks on the last two, 3rd-5th series had only CKD trucks.
Another difference was in the length: T435/ 1st series was 12560 mm, T458 was 13360 mm. (that makes 6.7 mm difference in TT)
I would recommend to wait for SW1200 from MTB.

Re: SW1200 - yes, the Worsley Works etched body kit for the SW800/900/1200 was designed for the T435 chassis. I have the etch set, but now that the SW1200 is coming from MTB I doubt I'll ever build it!
