OK, gloss surface, got it.

I have heard about Future, but it isn't available in Australia. The paint I am using is a glossy acrylic lacquer from SMS Scale Modellers Supply, a local company. Some areas seem glossy, but others not so much...On the NP hoppers I did some weathering to try and alter the black to various shades, so was not a gloss surface. I will leave that till after decals from now on.

I will try a couple of decals on one of the NP woodchip cars and see how it goes. I do have some Vallejo gloss I could spray on the areas if needed.
