Possum Valley Models F-3 Power Kit

Here are some photos of my Possum Valley Models power kit for the 1:120 Lionel F-3 locomotive:

There are two truck kits, a motor, wires, screws and a resin frame in the kit. The instructions are now on-line in PDF format (a nice change, since the instructions for the PVM GP-9 and F-3 power kits take up a lot of space in the box!).






I also bought 32 TT scale axles from Elmer at the same time:

Has anyone built one of the F3B units? I just picked up one and I'd like some advice as to the best way to proceed. NOTE: I don't have it yet, so I might be asking a stupid question if it is a breeze.

I'd love to see either version of this model in a built state when either of you guys get to that point.

You would have to ask Elmer for the pdf. I do not have access to my computer right now, so it will be late September before I will get home to access my TT scale files.

I have started on one of my PVM F-3A power kits today (I have two of them total), right now the chassis is drying from the second coat of primer, I will post photos of the assembly process soon.

So is it running? A couple shots of the chassis and whatnot? Curious if you did anything beyond the standard kit.

She runs pretty good, just have to remember to grease the hinges in the power trucks. This one was purchased complete on eBay. With how busy I have been with the farm, my Santa Fe F-3 has not made much progress.

Yeah, we have been busy with the farm as of late, so TT Scale (along with other trains) has been on the backburner for a bit. Hopefully, that changes soon.
