Possum Valley Models GP9 Chassis Kit

Here is the Possum Valley Models 1:120 Lionel GP9 power chassis kit.


The kit includes two geared trucks, wires, motor, frame, weight, screws, and handrails. It is also possible to make handrails out of wire, reuse the ones included with the 1:120 Lionel GP9, or to order an etched metal handrail set from PVM.

The etched handrail set is shown in this photo, compared to the resin handrail set:

Here is the primed and mostly assembled PVM GP-9 kit. All that is left is to wire it up, paint, and add couplers and handrails.

Where's that etch set from? I want one...

I beleive the etched parts were developed by members of the German SIG group for super detailing the lionel GP9 and low nosed Geep a few years ago. This is the first time I saw that etch for years although I did have a couple that have been used. The etches are superb quality , there was also another one for the running board which make a massive improvement and helps improve the basic lionel model no end

The handrail etch was $8, if I remember right, and Elmer at PVM said that there was only a few of them left, and that was a few months ago. If you want the handrail set, I would suggest that you give Elmer a call and purchase one before they are gone.
