The model kit does not include handrails or couplers. The coupler pocket is designed to take Micro-Scale N scale couplers. With a little drilling and cutting, the pockets can be enlarged to accommodate Kadee #713/714 couplers.
There is a number of add on details that are provided by Possum Valley Models that allow the builder to customize the locomotive to the builder's own specifications.
Tools needed for the assembly of the PVM 25T Plymouth include:
1.) Small Screwdrivers
2.) Modeler's Drill Bits (I would recommend getting one of those multi-bit packs available at most hobby shops.)
3.) Hobby Knife (I would recommend different sizes of Xacto Knives for different surfaces / thicknesses of resin.)
4.) CA Adheshive (I use Zap Brand Zap-a-Gap.)
5.) Painting supplies
6.) Tweezers (I would recommend this for some of the smaller detail parts)
