US prototype appropriate wheels and trucks: where do I find them?

It's been a while since I posted, but I've been falling deeper and deeper into TT scale. The new PECO track has been a G-d send, and my skills at 3D modelling, improved 3D printer technology, and a great deal of fumbling around have me improving my skills. However, one glaring problem I have is finding pre-made wheelsets and trucks. the resins for 3D printing make the wheels I print either too bendy or too brittle. I'm at the point of making molds and resin casting them, but I'd prefer not to reinvent the wheel, in this case literally. Is there a ready source of .275" and .3" diameter wheels available? How about AAR, Bettendorf, or roller bearing trucks? I've had some wheelsets made for me through North West Short Line, but cost and production time make a large order impractical. Are there any consistent suppliers out there currently making them? An information would be greatly appreciated.

For wheels it depends. There were RP25 wheels at some point but I don't remember where I bought them. Maybe someone can chime in. If you don't need RP25, any Tillig dealer should have multiple diameters available.

There may also be some HOm parts suitable from Halling, under Drive technology or Accessories. I know 3mm scale modellers in the UK use them.

The trucks themselves are available from Titan Models, Ian is on here as TiTan downunder. I think he designed the trucks to work with the Mueller wheelsets mentioned by MacG, and he has several styles. Richard at TT West had some in stock, you can check with him and see if he has some if you're in the US. Very nice injection molded trucks!

- ASF A-3 (Bettendorf)
- 70 ton roller bearing
- 100 ton roller bearing
The trucks are available with wheels on a per pair basis or in 3 pair packs without wheels.
These were designed to be used with the wheelsets from Mueller in Germany -

They do 7.00mm = 33" for the first 5 x types and 7.7mm = 36'' for the 100ton R.B. trucks.
You can get them in RP-25 profile or with standard European flanges.
TT-West stocks my products in the US and Lok-N-Roll in Germany. Otherwise available direct from me in Australia.
