Couplers used on Zeuke freight cars and locos

Post by RodTT »

Yesterday I dropped one of my Zeuke hoppers and broke one of the couplers. I managed to fit a spare MTL 1016 in its place, but I had to enlarge the containing hole slightly with a file to get it to fit.
Which begs the question - which couplers are installed on the original? I'm assuming they are MTL of some kind.
Same question for the SW locos - their couplers have moulded-on plastic 'springs', one of which also broke a while back but luckily I had a spare.

The manufacturer of the 3-bay hoppers and the switchers (MTB) produces them himself.

The MTB couplers have less side play than MTL or Kadee. Therefore there are problems when changing tracks over two EW1 turnouts.

Can you buy the MTL couplings in England?
Lok-n-Roll.de - we send worldwide

Yes, I have no problem buying MTLs, and they work as replacements, I was just wondering if there was a direct replacement. Anyway it's all fixed now.
