Decals

Post by tomvanhoy »

Has anyone used any of the decals being sold on Ebay by K4? Just curious as to whether they are accurate for scale and detail?
Thanks,
Tom

I bought a couple sets that are still sitting in the envelope, the quality looks good but I haven't actually put a caliper on them yo check them out. After work tomorrow I'll give them a closer look.

K4 has a web site now:
https://k4decals.com/collections/tt-scale-decals

More decals than TT-West will ever do! ..albeit not necessarily car-specific.

These 4 cars were done using the one C & I set from K4 decals.
Size is pretty right. Set comes with 4 lots of pre-set numbers which, being lazy, is what I used. There were number "jumbles" to do other cars if you want to cut & shut.
As Richard mentioned you do have to watch which sets you buy for which car but otherwise I have no problems using the decals.

As a prototype comparison, from RP Cyc Vol 4
RPC Vol 4 001.jpg
RPC Vol 4 002.jpg
Only thing I noticed with these references and some other shots I found is that the herald placement seems to vary but, that would just add more interest???

@TiTan downunder: The decals look good in place.

The new website has a very good searching function. For example Offset Hopper TT
Lok-n-Roll.de - we send worldwide
