End of TT Empire

Post by ConducTTor »

And that's why everything I do is open and free to anyone on the web. People can copy all the content from the whole freekin site if they wanted to spend the time. The only thing registration is required for is posting and uploading files. No more "tt dies with me" mentality. Fuk that sh1t.

as per your signature block, that is exactly what committees are for.

so self-deluded types who become bitter *don't* get to have the last word. as they have in our scale. i've seen it in action in 3mm.

now the 3mm society committee does not have a brass statue erected to it, i'll grant you ... but that is probably because all the spare brass in england is needed for the thousands of products they have brought to market.

socialism that sells things. i'd take it any day.

Mon dieu!

These last two posts (ConducTTor, Scaro)about the demise of the poor old TT Empire really blew me away!

Such passion! I agree with the sentiments expressed by both of you gentlemen as it pertains to interests in TT. Long live TT!!

My signature specifically references "great leaders". Not "leaders".

Sad to see it go.
I can understand the reluctance to continue the publication with the declining input from contributors and a declining membership.
Still it provided a monthly newsletter of some goings on in TT-Scale.

It can be difficult to keep track of everything on this forum with the multitude of different topics.
Sometime things are lost in the overhead.

I wonder if it would be worthwhile to incorporate the "TT Empire" into tt-nut as a once a month locked topic that would provide a monthly snapshot of what is going on. Not sure how it would be done(just a posting or a pdf that copied the current TT Empire format) or what to do about advertising(free or a nominal donation to ??) or even who would do it but I think the idea is worth considering.

I'd be fine with that if someone wants to do it.
