All

I had a GREAT time at last week's Leipzig Modell Hobby Spiel!

I travelled up from our place in Budapest for Saturday and Sunday... and met with many of the European "US TT-Scale aficionados'...

Saturday... Willfred Knipping was gracious enough to spend several hours in discussion... AND share a snack from the self-contained cantina inside the TT display layout.

I also talked US TT with Vitaslav Barna of MTB (Prague), and while there were no new US prototypes available, I just HAD to have one of their Hungarian M41 engines... for obvious reasons.

On Sunday I met-up with Mirko Hoffmann... and we spent quite a bit of time at Michael Gruner's amazing Canadian-themed layout (mentioned previously). Michael (artanddetail.de) and his father are doing outstanding work in presenting North American TT in the best possible light.

Ulli (Andreas Kuczera - DNA-Modell.de) was also helping with the Canadian layout... and I finally met Prof. Joern Pachl in person!

The ONLY thing that caused any slight visual distress was Tillig gallery display, with a NoHAB double-ended diesel done-up in the New York Central gray passenger livery. 'Poetic License...?'

Rob Dikken did not come over from the Netherlands... but he was at the TT event in Leuna just previously.

I'm blocking-out my calendar for a return next year!!!!

Sounds like a lot of fun.

Tillig loves freelance models  but I guess a lot of people buy them or they wouldn't exist.

There was a story about this in the Tillig club magazine 03/2021. A club member wanted the NoHAB in NYC livery because it was similar to an EMD E7. Tillig thought it was good and produced such a model.

@ART&DETAIL: Great videos and photos, especially the night shots.
