Last post on these trucks appears to be about five years old. Where DOES one purchase these trucks now-a-days? I understand that Fox Valley is anticipating receiving a shipment of TT 33" inch wheels this month. I'd kinda like to obtain a few pairs of the GC freight truck and mate them up with the Fox Valley wheels. Is that possible/feasible? :eh:

I guess you'd need to ask Fox Valley what kind of axles they put the wheels on? I've used FVM N scale wheels sets and they are very nice. I have a lot of the old HP trucks so am laying my track to take HP and Goldcoast wheels, I'd need a set of Fox Valley wheels to know if they are compatible with the others?... ....DaveB

If they receive new portion of TT-scale wheels, it will be great. Maybe I'll by some.
I do not know anything about GC trucks, but maybe ask Lok-n-Roll?
As for me, I plan to use Peresvet trucks. They look quite close to American trucks, I beleive they can work.

Lok N Roll bought Gold Coast so they would be the ones you need to contact.

How do the Fox Valley wheels compare to HP wheels as far as code(tread width) and flange size? I'm wondering if the Fox Valley wheels will work thru my turnouts......DaveB

AFAIK...
Gold Coast passed the dies for the AAR 'Bettendorf' trucks to Lok-n-Roll... so they should, in theory, be able to injection mold more. These dies were hand cut by the late Joel Beurling, so if the dies wear out or get damaged... "c'est fini!"

That said... I'm not sure how many, if any, 33-inch wheel sets were sent along with the dies... and if Lok-n-Roll sources these themselves... they may differ from the ones that GCR (US) used. Note that GCR also offered 36-inch wheel sets, which are not correct for these trucks.

Possibly;
TT-West -should- be getting some samples of an MTB 70-ton plain-bearing truck shortly.

I may be wrong but I believe that the GC wheels were Tillig sourced.

Did anybody try "Mueller" wheelsets from Germany?
They are 7mm (7.5mm, 7.7 mm and 8.3 versions are also available)
