Mine is a "universal" 52800 with the Blue Tiger sound uploaded to it, which basically makes it 52858. If you are looking for the decoder for Blue Tiger, however, you may want to do a better research than I did and see if the decoder with built-in NEM connection is also available.

God damn it. I had just planned on getting only a decoder with no sound in order to save money. I'll send you the bill ; )

Looking at the speaker that the LokSound comes with, it is 16mm X 25mm - but that's the frame. I think if the frame was shaved, the 13 available mms may be doable. Obviously that's in one dimension. For the longer dimension, I believe I will attempt to widen the space in the chassis. I really don't want to go down in size on the speaker if I can help it (bigger cone = lower frequencies). Widening the speaker hole also allows for easy running of wires. I'll see what I come up with next week when the decoder / speaker combo gets here (my first order from EuroLokShop was just a single chip to see if I want to do business with them).

I considered using the speaker that the Loksound micro comes with, but came to the conclution that it's just too big. As I wait for my 13mm speaker, however, I am curious to see whether you wlll come up with a way to make the 16x25mm fit.

The decoder arrived today and I am in "surgery" as we speak. It's definately a delicate operation. I'm taking pics along the way and if the patient survives I'll post them with a explanation.

I'm at a point where I need to think about weather or not to proceed. The main problem right now is that there are 6mm of space between the speaker "grill" on the bottom of the chassis and the engine mount. The speaker in its current minimalist state is 6mm deep which means the cone will rest against the grill and not move (or at least not properly). This could be alleviated by cutting a sizable hole in the motor mount but I'm not sure if I want to do that.......

@BTTB Fan, can you measure the depth of your 13mm speaker if / when you have it - just out of curiosity.

Still waiting for the package with the 13mm ESU speaker, but if it's anything like the MRC one, it will be just 2mm or so thick.

Cool thanks. I've actually made the decision to proceed. I believe it will work and I'm going full speed ahead
