Yes they can. That train will be so tempting for all those little hands at the train shows.

Maybe...

The chances are high that a long train would crash the frog juicers in the return loops. That’s when both LEDs on the juicer blink furiously in red and the Z21 goes into “oh sh!t” mode.

Ask us how we know.

The final layout specs for the current plans will be around 12' x 30' in size, donut style. That should be big enough to handle the 100 car test.

Boys and girls, you should know by now that size is less important than how it operates.

If our (Vancouver layout) loop returns to the same track then the train must be short enough to clear the turnout.

But our main loops return to a parallel track. The limit is what is drawing current and triggering the frog juicer, and that would be just the locomotive - at least on a freight train. ICE trains have current collection at both ends, and passenger trains may have lighting through out, so lengths there might matter.

Our trains stop when two locomotives get into a loop at the same time and confuse the frog juicer. But theoretically there shouldn't be a problem with one locomotive and a long train with no other electrical pickup.

Probably I'm wrong about this, and it's getting off topic. So I'll say I'd like to see an HP articulated running, but unless it's DCC it won't be on the TT Tracks layout.

...but they do use mid-train helpers every 24 cars or so.

Nice. A bit of work to get it running smoothly and it will be great :)
