Or is it a different model entirely?
If anyone has one, can they kindly post the measurement between the centre axles on the trucks and wheelbase of the truck?
Cheers

Regarding BTTB BR 130:

Re: Berliner TT Bahnen library model Q & A
I had one in the past so can't measure it, but yes, it is considerably shorter than the Roco 132.

Re: Berliner TT Bahnen library model Q & A
The old BR130 models from BTTB are actually incorrect models. For some reason (most likely to accommodate an existing mechanism) they constructed it shorter than it should be. There is a good review / comparison on the ETH site that describes this old model as a nightmare.

Sorry, Ben. I am not sure, but I found some 'guts' pictures that seem to indicate that the wheel base may be the same as the Nohab's. I can get you the measurements for that one when I get home.
Also found this comparison...

Re: Berliner TT Bahnen library model Q & A
About the truck lengths, I am not sure. Although the Nohab was designed by GM, it was built for European railways which may account for the shorter trucks. I would imagine that the model is somewhat accurate, maybe.scaro wrote:Thanks
This would seem to indicate that the NOHAB has trucks that are way too short, if they are the same as on the BR130. GM trucks I would imagine are longer than the 6'+6' of the East German units.
Ben
The pictures seem a little oversized, so not good for taking measurements.scaro wrote: I agree, that BTTB unit is way too short though! In the comparison, are those shots full size for TT?

Here is another comparison of the 132 (Roco on the left, BTTB on the right). A note, the BTTB is actually a BR130 so the bigger front windows are prototype correct.

Hey Ben, you can get the dimensions for the new (correct) model from one of the two postings in the Roco library. I no longer own any of the BTTB units so I can't give you those.

Re: Berliner TT Bahnen library model Q & A
Just an FYI for people looking to fix their BTTB locomotives - some time ago I purchased a CD with PDF scans of parts lists, so, if you need one for your model, post the request in the corresponding model thread (or PM me), and I will upload the image.
