Tillig has written in the Clubheft #2 2018, page 11, 2nd paragraph:

"Aber vergessen Sie eines nicht: Im Gegensatz zu dem einstigen BTTB-Modell war das Vorbild kein 'Rennpferd'. Somit wird auch die Endgeschwindigkeit unseres neuen Modells deutlich unter jener der 'alten' Lok liegen".

"But don't forget one thing: unlike the former BTTB model, the original was not a 'racehorse'. So the top speed of our new model will be significantly lower than that of the 'old' locomotive". -

You're right. I've contacted them and they say the customs declaration at their logistic company is too expensive.

I can order and ship the worm gears for you.

It's ok thank you. I have a good friend in Koln who can help me when I am able to spend the money.

How many thousands of them do you want to buy that they need a logistic company and a customs declaration?
A registetred business is better for re-sending it, to be able to remove the VAT.

They ship every parcel with the logistics company DPD like DHL, FedEx or whatever. For shipping outside the EU, DPD charges an additional fee for a customs declaration. We know that this is not necessary. A CN22-form is filled out and glued on very quickly. And all is fine.

You can see it in the opposite shipping direction in the eBay Global Shipping Program. It is more expensive for us in the EU than a self-import via USPS. With the additional fee, it is much higher than the import sales tax alone.

Here an actual example from me:
10 Lionel models $52
Int. shipping $32
eBay Global Shipping Fee and Tax $23
Import sales tax alone (Germany 19%) about $16 - in dollars for better comparison

It's not worth it for expensive things (> $150). Sorry for offtopic
