Dispatch Micro Mag

Post by Bigelov » Fri Jun 24, 2022 1:07 am

After RodTT's recent publication in the new Dispatch Micro Model Railway e-Magazine I have been soaking up all the old issues.

The latest issue is now out, and includes a TT9 golf hotel (?!) layout. All issues can be downloaded from:

I love the article about forced perspective. When I get really talented, I might realize my idea of a micro layout. I wanna do one completely in shades of grey, so it looks like a black-and-white photograph from up front.

Yes! I found that article very inspiring also. Such an intriguing idea having the buildings change scale down their length, and the angles of sides and roads heading towards a vanishing point.

There is a guy that I check out regularly that often has conceptual type articles , with drawings and mock-ups to illustrate the idea. One concept for a micro layout had two 'windows' chowing small scenes, with a bridge over road in the centre. I immediately thought that that bridge space would be great for a forced perspective scene.
