Vancouver Train Expo 2016

Vancouver Train Expo 2016

Postby Bill Dixon » Tue Mar 08, 2016 3:16 am

Although it has not been formally announced yet the Vancouver Train Expo 2016 will be at the PNE Forum Saturday November 5 and Sunday November 6, 2016.

Even though they have not started soliciting layouts and vendors, given the layouts and vendors that did not get in last year and those that want to come back, the show is full.
If we are asked to attend I need to reply right away, so I am committing to the following display.
2016 Vancouver Train Expo 2016.jpg
This display needs a minimum of Two new modules from members. See yellow modules marked "New".
As well there are four of my modules; 8, 14, 24 and 25 that could be replaced by something better.
With a bit of juggling of tables we could go one module longer. Adding a table on the left end and juggling tables a bit (leaving gaps between tables) would allow us to go two modules longer.
That of course requires other displayers to finish a module or two.

I have now received the invitation to VTE 2016.
Time to let me know who is coming and what they can bring so I can submit a display plan.

Count on me to be there, probably Graeme, too. No modules but everything else.

After discussion at Indianapolis this is the layout I am submitting to the Vancouver Train Expo.
2016 Vancouver Train Expo Version one.jpg

To make this display work need a MINIMUM of one new module - Marked new.
As well any of the six modules with an "R" beside them can be replaced with something better.

This plan will change as I hope to have at least one new corner and adapters by then.
In the unlikely event we get more modules the display can be made one more module longer by shifting the display position on the tables.

This is the same plan o am going to submit for the Chilliwack show.

All
The VTE reg link is up at: http://www.vancouvertrainexpo.ca

I am 'considering' driving up to BC from the SF Bay Area again....

If my double-double (2 x 2meter) TT-tracks are fully operational, should I plan to bring them up?

It would be great to see you again. It would also be great to have your modules at the show and to have the new modules from Voytek. I hope arrangements can be made to accommodate them.

Well...
My Wife asked "Are you going up to the show in Vancouver" ...so that bridge is crossed!
