I cleared my calendar for Friday afternoon, meaning that I will be at the setup at 3-ish. This also means I have a shitload of work to do from home over the weekend. Yay!

So it's a great start to the show.
The van is loaded. Get in, turn the key . . . whir, whir, whir. The starter is F'd. Grumble!
Happily my wife is back in town and she was able to drive me to the rental place to pick up a van.
Another expense I didn't need right now.

Oh well the show will go on.

Bad News... Good news...

BAD: Google maps says I'm still 225 miles away from the PNE Forum.
GOOD: It -WAS- 956 miles!!!!

I will see you all tomorrow morning. (hopefully...)
Can someone text me a point-of-contact tomorrow so I can get admitted to the floor?

Set up is done. It's a big layout. I tell visitors it's their lucky day - they're seeing the biggest display of TT scale in North America. Anyway, we're ready for the masses. The overhead lights are kept at lower brightness during show set-up. Barely enough for photos. More during the show when the lights are full on.

Looking good guys.

Speaking of shows, I was at one today at the Syracuse Train Show. It's at the New York State fairgrounds in Syracuse, New York. Guess what I saw there? A guy with a TT scale setup. All European rolling stock he inherited from a friend that passed away. He's in his 80's and will be at the Rochester Institute of Technology (Tiger Tracks) the first weekend in December. I'll have to remember to take the camera to take some pictures.

So it looks like we have a very small start on the east coast. Hopefully I can have something to show next year.
