GE U6B again

GE U6B again

In relation to this topic I've one additional question.

Has anybody ever assembled the South African Class 91 kit (narrow gauge GE UM6B) by Worsley Works? And would it worth consideration, to take this kit for scratch building a true GE U6B? ... or for another standard gauge U-boat?

the NZ120 guys, who seem to be the epitome of DIY, may already be onto it:

they had their U10Bs from a cancelled philippine national railways order.

also mark4design might have been kicking the idea around too. the pics are of the Sn3 1/2 version though, so don't get too excited.

 Oooooh, I had read this NZ120-topic few month ago, but I had no idea of which loco they spoke and meanwhile completely forgotten it. Thanks for reminding!
