Last night Bill, Terry and I went for dinner to celebrate the birthday. Burgers, beer and the usual BS. We talked a lot about the Salt Lake City trip to the NTS. More about that on that topic's thread.

Tillig is releasing a double slip switch for the bedding track. Just FYI.

Interesting but a bit late.
We are moving away from 15 degree turnouts so the double slip switch is not of much use anymore. Now a ten degree version would be useful.
The 396mm radius curved track is R3. Only used on the turn back loops now. Could possibly be used to add a third line to the staging yard return loop.
R4 439mm would be useful for rebuilding the turn back loops.

The best laid plans of Mice and men.

It has been a long time coming but my dad's estate is finally settled, unfortunately not in the way we expected.

My sister and I have ownership of the house. Will try and live there for a year or two.

There was a good chunk of money coming our way but we got blindsided at the end. The Public Trustee on closing the account took (legally) 4% of the gross value of the estate. $ 66K vanished in an instant.
That left enough money for my sister and I to become debt free but not a lot else. $ 33K of mad money each gone.

That means changes to the TT-Tracks display will be slower and budgeted around the Salt Lake Show expenses and other things I have been deferring until I had money. So no big pass through station for a while. No big expansion of the locomotive fleet. No E-Bay purchases and there have been some very interesting ones in the last two weeks.

Oh well life and TT-Scale goes on.

Despite the estate issues, money was budgeted for toys.
New to my fleet:

Now decoder equipped and ready to run, except maybe couplers.
Also on order: some track bits to build a module or two, a car to complete my Gold Coast collection, and one laser cut module. Hope to have a new #6 crossover module ready for Western Rails.

Nice locomotive. Looks a lot better in "real life" than on Tillig's pics.
