TT fine scale wheelsets are here!

I just spot checked 2 freight cars with Gold Coast wheelsets. I measured about 0.272", 32.6 inches in TT scale. I believe at one time 36 inch wheel sets were available from Gold Coast.

Yes, they were. I used them for passenger cars.

Hello People,

yes, I have tt-fine scale wheels  !!

I have produce for me and for the Gold coast trucks, wheels in TT-fine after NMRA Standard S-4.1 Wheels, Proto and Fine Scales.
On the picture you can see difference - from left to right
-33" tt-fine wheels for Gold coast truck
-33" tt-fine wheels for Gold coast truck, but with original US-Profil
-36" tt-fine wheels for my and other truck´s (difference bearing)
-36" tt-fine wheels for my RB trucks, with original US-profil
to front - f-l-t-r
33", 33" (US-Profile), 36" (US-Profile)

All wheels produce after "NMRA Standard S-4.1 Wheels"

Michael,

Please understand I did not intend a slight to you with my post. In my mind, I don't see one market at work for all we TT scale fans here. I see separate NA market and European market groups because of two distinctions: 1 - Much higher European prices than what many North American buyers can justify paying, and, 2 - Ready availability.

Those of us who wish to model TT scale NA prototypes face an affordability factor. And, for our favorite scale to move from surviving to thriving, products should be readily at hand with small shipping fees and quick arrival at our doorsteps, to which we're accustomed with consumer goods generally. Other modelers of popular NA railroad scales enjoy these benefits, and U.S. TT modelers will benefit, too, if we can gain a similar footing here.

A&D products are superb. If only they were manufactured in the United States. In the future, as more USA manufacturers (established companies and up-and-coming individual entrepreneurs) get into TT scale manufacturing (hopefully Fox Valley Models will not be the last, only the most recent, established "big boy" to show interest in TT production), I wonder if the European and North American TT scale markets will be joined in any way.

But, I am not an economic market forecaster, nor do I pretend to be one. Maybe I'm way off base?

Perhaps send a set as well to one of the guys or gals here that either have Filligran track or are working on their own track design?

Alex, I checked, I don't have your street address. If you'll email me, I'll get them ready to mail on Monday.

Anyone here have Filligran track and like to receive axles to test?

@Brian

Would it be possible to provide a photo and the same dimensional information for the 33" Gold Coast wheelset? I'm curious how much modification would be required to get the Fox Valley wheelset to work in the Gold Coast truck.

CSD, please email me your street address. I'll send the wheelsets to you, Alex, and Tom Dempsey. I've got Tom's address but need yours and Alex's. That'll clean me out of the axles, wish I had more to offer. But, you three guys can maybe let the rest of us know your opinions?
