They look quite nice and well done.
But it's not exactly "western", I think...

Why not; I am sure there were a lot of them in Western Germany in 1950s; am I right?
And Stuttgart is (was) located in Western Germany...

Russian UAZ-452 4*4 minivan will be available soon:

It is not a ready model on the photo, of course

And also Haedl announced some new military automobiles, including Russian Ural truck, IFA tanker truck and military version of Trabant:

A tanker W50 articulated truck will have existed, but is still kind of funny... The original W50 had hardly enough power to pull itself. In the late 80s W50 were used to transport container trailers through Berlin, but only the empty ones, because they wouldn't have enough power to pull a loaded...

I've read about it in Tillig's catalog, but I always wanted to know - WHO pulled the loaded containers?.. :?

There were suitable tractors in the GDR. Either Skoda and RoMAN (I think, but I'm not sure) and imported Volvo and Mercedes. Last of them not many, of course...

What do you expect from 125hp? Even the torque is only 392Nm...

Russian GAZ-51 truck had only 70 h.p. and 201 Nm.
Its tractor with trailer version was used for trailers with empty bottles :)

IFA W50 was very popular in Russia, but I had never seen tractor version.
But they were very useful for food delivery or agricultural dump truck...

As far as I know the W50 tractor was rather seldom. And you know, why..
By the way, the Mercedes Atego 7.5tons I used for my relocation a few weeks ago, had 177hp and 675Nm torque - slightly more ...
