Oh yes, MWB paint is BEAUTIFUL!!! I can't believe how much $$$ people pay on Ebay for the Tillig (BTTB) version.

As for Kuehn, he does take forever doesn't he? Anyway, steam is what my spies tell me :)

I all fairness, yes Kuehn does take longer to get his models to the market. But we all like them because there so detailed and of course the better price doesn't hurt either. In his defense, they moved their entire company into a new building, anybody can understand where the delays come from. On his website is a regular update for the estimated deliveries of the new models and so far, it wasn't far off:

Hopefully I can buy the new V60 when I`m in Germany later this year.....have been waiting on this one for a while....

Hmmm... Do you speak STEAM meaning steam locomotive, or smoke from the chimney?!

If you mean steam locomotive it would be great, but it seems to me Kuehn prefer modern locomotives, mostly electric?..

First pictures of Kuehn's Goggles with paint on are online. So far only pics of the first limited edition model (T478.3089) but David Strupp from DS Model promised that for the next four days he'll release pictures of one version every day so eventually we'll see them all.

Bear in mind that those models are still prototypes (although in full paint and with all the printed texts and signs) and some things are not 100% - like a small difference in color shades from the original in case of this particular model. Once those little details are sorted out, the Goggles will have green light for production.

From what I've seen so far, I think the Kuehn models will better than Roco's. Unfortunately they don't have the "Lightning" version which I wanted so I got the Roco. BTW, the Czech versions of the BR 180 are available now.

And also the most discussed news: articulated steam locomotive 2-6-0 + 0-6-2 (Mallet type) by MMC !

lipsko_2011-099.jpg

Limited party of 30 pieces announced. The price will be 1600 Euros !

The funniest thing is that ...such locomotive didn't exist!!!
Only projects existed, in Third Reich (Hitler's era in Germany)

Thanks for the news Arseny! The Mallet is very cool even if it never came to life (just because it's a mallet).
