Ok, here's hoping it passes the thinness test this time :>)
Once it gets here I'll let you know if the plastic is good for melting in the steps etc.
I'm just about done with my CryoTrans 60 foot reefer so the hopper can be my next project. ...dave

It will be fine. I made the updates to the file last wednesday and ordered it. I delayed making it available until I got the "it's shipped" email from them - confirming there are no manufacturing issues.

The nice thing about the PS2 hoppers is that we have both versions of trucks readily available.

Good news, I got the Shapeways notice that my hopper was made and is at UPS . I'll be glad to get it and see how the plastic works. Anyone got photos of your painted and decaled hopper models yet? ......dave

I wish. I want to get all the little detail stuff done (have to order a few things from GC and add ladders, grab handles, etc.) and then do a mass priming of all the kits in preparation for painting.

Got a notification that mine is being produced... can't wait. I figure that'll give me at least a week to settle on what lettering I want to do, and find usable detail photos of the brake equipment/piping.

Not too much detail needed, a brake tank, valve, and cylinder linked to a lever plus a little piping. trouble is it's mostly all up in the car end where it's hard to see and harder to install. The train line runs along the car body edge so it's easy....dave
