Trains 2014 in Vancouver BC

Postby dileTTante » Thu Sep 11, 2014 8:24 pm

Coming up is the Trains 2014 NMRA Show Saturday and Sunday 8-9 November (http://bctrains.sbcrailway.ca/show). This will be our tenth consecutive TT scale exhibit at this venue in Burnaby near Vancouver, British Columbia- 2 shows per year for 5 years. And it's still the largest gathering of TT modellers in North America,

Bill Dixon will bring his TT Tracks layout, and I plan to have a newer setup - just another simple oval but this time with curves large enough for passenger trains. We're expecting to see CN-TT and I hope Marquette and Voyttek turn up as well.

Yes , I am looking foreword to see You all in November and hope to be there already on Saturday to help set up and have more time to enjoy the show.
There is a good chance that by then I will receive a couple of new locomotives I had ordered loooong time ago. They are being built from scratch, for me in Poland, as this particular model is not commercially available.
I hope they arrive by the end of October - just need customs and post office to cooperate !!!

I will be there and bring my new project "The GuiTTar Case". Some may say: :wtf: It's a TT switching puzzle (kind of!?)
I'm looking forward to see you guys. If any help is needed for setup, just let me know!

Voyttek and CN-TT, I'm looking forward to seeing you both. If extra space is needed and hasn't been arranged yet, please let Bill Dixon know about it right away. Most of the set up will be Friday I think around 6PM, but maybe the tables won't be ready until 7PM.

Also, Bill Dixon and I will be running TT at the show in Chilliwack British Columbia. The show is big and a two day event -Saturday and Sunday 18-19 October. But we'll be there only Sunday. More TT is welcome if anyone wants to join us. (http://www.central-hobbies.com/schedule.html)

Anyone plans to attend the show in Colorado? I think is the weekend after Thankgiving. Would be nice to have some diversity because all I see it's layouts of gauges Z, N, HO and between. It's getting old!

Why don't you set up a table and show some TT?

I did 3 years ago. People did not even know what TT is (maybe because is European prototype). Since I do not have a layout, I was thinking that if someone (a member or more from this group) that has a layout or a module for the show, people or some people that will attend the show might be interested more in this scale if they see them moving (running on track).

You are 100% right. So just bring an oval of track and set it up on the table and run trains.
