Tillig CD ep. V 720 053 item #500960

This model is the most modern CD version of the old Czech T435 class. Unlike Tillig's other versions of this locomotive this one was produced in cooperation with Czech model enthusiasts and features the older "Pennsylvania" style truck side frames. It is also a limited addition.

The models appearance and function is flawless. Many separate details are provided as well as an obstruction free cab and look through roof vent.

Lighting reverses with direction and features lighted number boards.

The digital connection is with a 12 pin connector, however; standard 6 pin will work. The plug was installed in such a way that an angled or wiring harness equipped decoder is required.

Got my hands on one of those new 12 pin decoders for this locomotive. Just a note that perhaps they need to put a little more thought into sizing these things (both decoder and locomotive). There are a couple of articles floating around out there about getting these things to fit in their intended spaces. Still, pretty nice to have individual control over all the lighting functions rather than just forwards and backwards. Cut, cut, cut...

Sooooo, have you figured out yet how to switch the loco engine number sign individually or does it come on at the same time as the rest of the lights? This decoder apperently has 4 extra functions......love to see more pic`s once your done.

Here is the link to the decoder website in case you didnt have it, I know the decoder didnt come with the manual. I know its in german but as always, I will translate for you if you need something specific.

Yeah, will need some help. It does not operate quite as expected. Programming required.

Is this loco still available? If so, any ideas as to where from and how much? I like the Mashima motor with flywheels and the AAR-looking side frames...

Thanks,
Bill

^^^There is one here: http://www.modeltrain.cz/item.php?kind= ... tem=500960

DS Model is worked in collaboration with Tillig to produce this model. It was a limited edition. There is another of the same coming out soon in an era 4 paint scheme: http://www.modelyasport.cz/m_T4350108.html

I have come to like this model quite a bit.

Any idea if you can purchase just the trucks? I have the blue CSD version of the loco and want to swap them.

There is probably only one way to know for sure - get the parts list and ask Mr. Albert at MBW24 to order the part# for you... Of course, to justify the shipping cost, you would have to pick up a couple of locos as well...
