Just received this Tillig br 219 and i have to say it runs great and is also very quite. Looks fantastic hauling freight cars but i do have one issue. The pilot and the truck are all one piece so that it swivels going into a turn. kinda like o scale locomotives. i dont understand tilligs reason for this as it does throw the look off a bit. video came out kind of dark so i dont know if you can see it. waiting on decoder so it will be dcc soon.

Tillig designed their locos like that in the early/mid 2000s.

This locomotive series (BR 119/219/229) is one of the many updated BTTB designs by TILLIG. As for the pilot, this could be interesting for you - if you like detailing your model: http://www.tt-board.de/forum/showpost.p ... tcount=112 and http://www.digitalzentrale.de/download/ ... 0BR119.pdf

The pictures at tt-board.de shows a modified mounting. He uses a PEHO coupling box and this holds the pilot.

Thanks for the info, but it seems the loco might be going back to the seller. A drive shaft now keeps popping out of the gear tower making it impossible to run. Damn shame.
