Tillig at Hatton's (UK)

Tillig at Hatton's (UK)

Postby Rich B » Thu Mar 20, 2014 8:48 am

Following my whinge about OnTracks pricing, (who never even replied to my email, hence now being willing to name them), I now see Hatton's are selling Tillig at sensible prices- not far off most German shops. Hopefully this will expand TT's exposure in the British marketplace.

Good news I think!

Hmmm these prices still seem high. Look at this for example http://www.ehattons.com/73325/Tillig_14 ... etail.aspx

Here it is in the US at ETH http://www.eurotrainhobby.com/tillig-pa ... p12471c129

And here it is in Germany at Lippe http://www.modellbahnshop-lippe.com/pro ... odukt.html

Pretty amazing - once again ETH is selling for less than the price in Germany, and they have to pay to get it here! Yes, I know they benefit from no-VAT, that's a big help. Still, I happily give ETH all my TT business.

I tend to balk at paying high prices for Tillig, from whatever source, as I've been unimpressed by their quality.
