We are glad to no longer be in North Dakota, with how cold it is there right now.

I grew up in Michigan. It took me 6 years to get used to the HOT southern summers. Biggest problem with cold for me now is that I've forgotten how to dress for it. After 4 days of single digit temps it finally dawned on me that someone a long time ago came up with as device for warming hands. Today I put on gloves :)

Gloves are nice, we have found that we are in need of medium thickness gloves, as all of ours are either thin work gloves for working on machinery (i.e. oil changes and such), or are thick gloves, used in CT and ND in past years.

Angry Sailor 302 has been using a pair of socks for his hands, I truly hope he has the sense of mind to make sure that they are clean.

The best thing for cold weather is mitten. "Varezhki" in Russian.

Mittens are something that one does not come across too readily in the southern US. Nice, though, so much as you do not need full dexterity.

Some people, who shall remain un-named, seem to regard a good heavy pair of socks to be just as good for some tasks when it is cold out.
