And I have a question- I can't tell from the pics, how many "ribs" are there on either side of the door? I've probably found the best foobie yet (maybe with a little work- gotta shave the waffles off!)-

Referring to the foobie car I'm working with: 6 ribs on each side of the plug door.

The drawing below is based on what I use as a master for laying out artwork;
It was scaled from the physical model... and is, IMHO, reasonably accurate.

Looks like it might work. Even if you shaved off the ribs and waffles on the left side and added styrene ribs. Or leave it as is, easier to decal!

As you know... in-service photos of these cars on the above railroads are exceedingly rare.

Based on anecdotal information, and a thorough review of similar Oregon / Nor Cal car classes...
the following OE and NWP schemes were found.

Richard

" Sorry... no artwork for SP&S;
You would have to settle for Seattle and North Coast... "

Thank you - will at least add some colour to things.

And there's nothing like a bit of rarity to get a good discussion going.

Note to all:
My renderings are concept artwork... laid-out for a single car, and not (yet) converted to an appropriate generic decal set.

If / when? (... my delay) the 4-waffle car gets produced...
I will work with some folks to make the artwork available as decals.

As always...
Black is no problem, single-color sets are relatively straight-forward, multi-color cars problematic.

The good news is that once these artwork sets are made into decals...
the same graphics can be used for a number of that railroad line's cars.

If you have specific questions or requests... Please PM me off-line.
