The local TT population...

has dropped 50% in North Western PA!
Tom Collard (my local TT cohort) has packed up and moved to California! So Richard, Pat, Sacto and any other Left Coast TT'ers you've got another recruit in Santa Clara (and he's already started to build a modular layout). My loss, your gain!

Don't worry, Al. There is still a number of TT'ers on the East Coast. Heck we might just have to pay you a visit someday.

Al you only have to get one of your sons suckered into this scale and you're back to 100%!

I wish! My middle son showed an interest when he was younger, but now that he's a budding geologist his interests have turned to other things- mainly beer and his girlfriend! But I dropped out of model railroading in college, so maybe there's a little hope... Plus he and my oldest are CAD wizards, so that would be a big plus for me.

Al, ask them if they can 3D-draw an F-unit nose ;-)

LOL! Well I had my oldest look at doing a similarly annoying project, the long hood end of an Alco C425. It's got that odd Alco "scallop" at the top of the long hood. He said if I could get a diagram with some marked radii and better dimensions than the HO version I had he could do it, but he said you need to be an artist to get it right just by eye- I think the E and F unit noses would be the same!

That looks really good actually! BTW, what if any plugins do use on Sketchup?
