Soo Line decal

Soo Line decal

Postby Arseny » Sat Oct 01, 2011 2:02 pm

I want to make the Soo Line decal for the 2-bay hopper.
I'll print it on the special paper for the decals, by the inkjet or laser printer and fix by lacquer
It is the test printing, on the usual paper

What is your opinion?
I contacted the Soo Line historical society and they gave me the sample of the PS-2 hopper painting and lettering for the HO-scale models.

I scaled it, reducing by 72.5%.
Maybe, I must reduce it by 70-65% ?..

I like what I see. I am a big fan of the fallen flag Soo Lines.
I think you are right that the decal needs to be slightly smaller, but not by much.

Here is a builder's photo from 1958... the "SOO LINE" is -very- large...
I suspect the historical society info is probably correct.
